2020 LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL LISZT COMPETITION

for Pianists and Vocalists

The sixteenth biennial Los Angeles International Liszt Competition for Pianists and Vocalists will be held on November 20-22, 2020 on the campus of Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. The Competition is judged by national and international Liszt performers and scholars with entrants participating in ten different Divisions. 

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION TO THE COMPETITION IS JANUARY 10, 2021.

György Vashegyi, President of the Hungarian Academy of Arts will be the Principal Patron of this year’s competition.

The award ceremony will be held at nearby Trinity United Methodist Church and will include performances by all winners. We invite everyone to join us in this evening of celebration0

ATTENTION – NEW COMPETITION DATES:

Due to COVID-19 and prioritizing the safety of our community the competition is postponed to March 12-14, 2021. 

The voice competition has been expanded to Friday, March 12, and Sunday, March 14. The piano divisions are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 13-14. Further information can be found in the Schedule.
